Clitheroe Christmas Festival 2014

On Saturday 6th December Clitheroe’s first Christmas festival will take place.  A small group of local retailers have done a lot of hard work in a short space of time to bring about this event.  Other festivals, such as the Food and Jazz festivals, have been a huge success and no doubt this festival will follow in their footsteps.

There’ll be something for everyone to enjoy, from small children to adults, hopefully encouraging lots of new visitors to the town.  Santa will arrive on the train from Blackburn at 10.18am and travel around the town.  Children will then be able to go and see him; one of the empty shops in town will be Santa’s Grotto for the day!  There’ll also be donkey rides for the children and the town will be filled with music from choirs and buskers making it very festive.  Thwaites horses will also be in town and many of the local shops will be handing out mulled wine, mince pies and other treats.

More information and updates can be found on ‘Clitheroe Christmas Festival’s’ facebook page.
